My story
Hi, friend!
My name is Ben Mitchell and I love music, singing, and being amazed by our incredible, awesome God! I was blessed to grow up in a musical Christian family and a vibrant acapella-singing church of Christ community. My home church would host training devotionals every month where all the boys could practice leading in front of the entire congregation. From the age of two, I’ve been growing my singing and worship leadership skills! My family prioritized musical education, which allowed me to write my first (very primitive 🙂 ) pieces of music starting around age 9. This led, years later, to my co-writing the theme song for an Alaska state-wide church lectureship.
I enjoyed my time as a vocal performance minor at University of Alaska Fairbanks and have been involved in multiple choirs. I have taught acapella worship leadership in churches around the United States and the Philippines and am excited to continue working with acapella worship leaders around the country to help them grow in technical excellence and spiritual leadership! I am a firm believer that excellent worship leadership starts in my personal life. I must be authentically captivated by our great and mighty God before I can inspire a congregation to worship HIM. As worship leaders, you and I can’t offer publicly what we haven’t first mastered privately.
